CNC Milling Color Plastic Parts

  Compared with metals, color plastic has small thermal capacity and poor thermal conductivity (its thermal conductivity is only 3/1000 or less of the metal) and has a large coefficient of thermal expansion (1.5 to 20 times larger than metals). Therefore, in CNC Milling color plastic, the heat generated by friction is mainly passed to the tool. But even a small amount of heat passed to the milling color plastic parts, because it is difficult to enter the internal of the plastic parts, prone to local overheating, cause milling color plastic parts to color, melting, and even burning. Moreover, when the temperature is too high, the elastic deformation of milling color plastic parts intensifies, affecting the surface quality and size accuracy of milling color plastic parts, causing the workpiece bouncing and even causing accidents. Therefore, CNC milling color plastic often use coolant (usually compressed air) to reduce temperature.
