What effect can chrome plating on CNC machined parts achieve?
1. The hardness of chromium plating layer on CNC machined parts is very high. The hardness can be changed in a wide range from 400 HV to 1200 HV according to the composition of plating solution and technological conditions. 2. The chromium plating layer on CNC machined parts has good heat resistance. When heated below 500 C, the gloss and hardness of the chromium plating layer have no obvious change. The chromium plating layer begins to oxidize and change color when the temperature is higher than 500 C, and the hardness decreases when the temperature is higher than 700 C. 3. The friction coefficient of chromium plated layer on CNCV machined parts is small, especially the dry friction coefficient is the lowest among all metals. Therefore, the chromium plating layer has good wear resistance. 4.
