What is overcut? How to improve the over cutting problem?

Over cutting refers to a phenomenon of over cutting in the process of Machining, which is usually caused by improper treatment of tool path or improper preparation of process. Generally speaking, it is to cut off the position that should not be machined during machining.

Specifically, common over cutting phenomena are as follows:

1. Machining the undercut caused by the internal angle and sharp angle of the arc less than the tool radius;

2. Over cutting caused by groove with machining length less than tool diameter;

3. Over cutting caused by unreasonable motion path when the tool is advanced or retreated or the tool radius is compensated;

4. Over cutting caused by improper setting of cutter rotation angle and cutter axis vector during complex surface machining.

Analysis of workpiece over cutting in machining plant:

Reason:

1. The strength of the spring knife is not too long or too small, resulting in the spring knife.

2. Improper operation of operators.

3. Uneven cutting allowance. (e.g. 0.5 on the side of the surface and 0.15 on the bottom)

4. Improper cutting parameters (such as too large tolerance, too fast SF setting, etc.).

How to improve this situation:

1. Principle of CNC machine tool cutter: large and short.

2. Add the angle cleaning procedure, and the allowance shall be kept as uniform as possible (the allowance on the side and the bottom shall be the same).

3. Reasonably adjust the cutting parameters and round the corner with large allowance.

4. Using SF function of machining machine, the operator can adjust the speed to achieve the best cutting effect.
